Group Outings FAQ’s
Everything you need to know about our group outings and how they work day to day.
Suitability & Group Dynamic
-
We specialise in Oodle breeds (any pup that’s poodle cross), along with other friendly small breeds that suit our group environment.
-
Yes, your dog needs to be friendly but doesn’t need to be overly social, but they do need to be comfortable around other dogs. We support shy dogs and help build confidence over time.
-
Of course. We take the time to understand each dog’s temperament and behaviour to ensure they are a good fit for the group. They also need to be fully vaccinated and up to date. (proof may be required)
-
Most clients book regular weekly spots to maintain routine and consistency for their dog. Fortnightly or ad hoc is an option but only if its works with our scheduling and availability. Pricing can be found on our Group Outings page
The Outing Experience
-
Across a Monday - Friday roster it will be either SJ (owner) or Kelly (pack leader).
SJ usually runs Monday-Thursday, with Kelly running Fridays. There will be times that the pack leader may change from week to week, and all pups will be introduced to both of us to build and maintain those relationships.
-
If you’re home, we’ll either message you on arrival, buzz your apartment, or meet you at the door. We keep things simple and consistent so your dog feels comfortable with the routine.
-
No problem at all. We’ll organise a secure access option that suits your home, such as a lockbox, access code, or key arrangement if needed. Your home is always treated with care and respect, and securely locked upon departure.
-
Each outing includes a minimum one hour at the park, plus travel time with their group, making the full experience up to around two hours.
-
Outings may include a mix of free play, structured walks and enrichment activities, depending on the group and environment.
-
We keep our groups intentionally balanced between 6-8 dogs to ensure every dog receives attention, space, and a positive experience.
Bookings & Routine
-
Most clients book regular weekly spots to maintain routine and consistency for their dog. Fortnightly is an option but only if its works with our scheduling and availability.
-
We operate Monday to Friday.

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 12 hours incur a 50% fee, and same day cancellations are charged in full. This allows us to manage group numbers and offer spaces to other clients.
-
Yes. We’re always happy to accommodate last minute requests where possible, depending on availability within the group.
-
Payment is due on the day of the outing via bank transfer, if doing multiple walks per week one payment can be made by 5pm Friday. Most clients set up their own direct transfer weekly, so it's not forgotten.
Updates & Communication

-
Yes. We send a message once your dog has been collected, along with an estimated time beforehand if you will be home.
Safety & Structure
-
Safety is at the core of everything we do. We carefully select dogs that suit the group, monitor behaviour closely, and manage the environment from pick up through to home time.
-
We assess the space before entering, including other dogs present, gate security and overall conditions, to ensure it is safe for our group.
-
Yes. We prioritise secure, enclosed spaces to ensure a safe environment for all dogs. We carefully select parks which have both small and big dog sections, so we can be in a separate space when needed.
-
In cases of heavy rain, storms, or extreme heat, outings may be adjusted, shortened, or cancelled with your dog’s safety in mind.
Transport & Pickups
-
Dogs travel in a fully air conditioned, secure vehicle fitted with crates and safety restraints to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
-
We run two groups per day, with morning and late morning/lunch time pick ups. Exact timing will be confirmed based on your location and group.
-
We operate across Brisbane’s Inner North and CBD. You can check your location on our outings page
Behaviour & Support
-
We take a gentle, supportive approach and allow dogs to build confidence at their own pace within the group.
-
If we feel group outings aren’t the right fit, we’ll let you know and guide you toward a more suitable option.

Your dog will be cared for by a trusted Little Paws team member, most often SJ or Kelly.
